Dr. Olman Araya is an orthopedic surgeon of 40 years. He specializes in knees. He began his medical studies at the University of Medical Sciences UCIMED, later obtaining his specialty in Orthopedics and Traumatology at the University of Costa Rica.

Dr. Araya started his orthopedic practice right after his graduation in 2012, obtaining a fellowship in Santiago, Chile in 2013, where he became a specialist in knee procedures.
He is passionate about reconstructive surgery. He had the opportunity to do a rotation at the Russian Ilizarov Scientific Center of Restorative Traumatology and Orthopedics.

Today he works with the Trauma Hospital for the National Insurance Institute INS, and as a private physician at the main hospital in San Jose. Dr. Olman is always looking for new material and becoming a better doctor, he was the president of the Costa Rican Association of Orthopedics and Traumatology ACOT; also a faculty member, and the official action person in Costa Rica for AOC Connect, which is the fastest growing organization for academic orthopedic professionals.
